Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell are teaming up for William Monahan's big-screen adaptation of Ken Bruen's novel "London Boulevard."
Variety describes the film as follows:
"Farrell will play a South London criminal who, after release from prison, tries to give up the gangster life by becoming a handyman for a reclusive young actress."
Monahan's writing credits include "Kingdom of Heaven," "The Departed" and "Body of Lies." "Boulevard" marks his directorial debut.
As for Farrell, he recently won a Golden Globe for his delicious performance in "In Bruges." The actor has quite a few projects awaiting release, including "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus," "Triage" and "Crazy Heart."
Knightley wast last seen in "The Duchess." SHe recently wrapped filming "Last Night."
I have plenty of respect for Monahan's work, and I'm sure he'll put a lot of passion into this project, just like any other film he's worked on. I'm also interested in seeing how Farrell and Knightely work together onscreen.
