The Weinstein Co. and Universal Pictures have set a domestic release date for Quentin Tarantino's WWII drama "Inglourious Basterds."

TWC will distribute the flick Aug. 21, 2009. Universal will release the film overseas, but those dates have not been set yet.

In the brutal film, a group of Jewish-American soliders are sent to brutally kill every Nazi they come across.

Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbender, B.J. Novak, Diane Kruger, Til Schweiger, Christoph Waltz, Raul Rust, Samuel L. Jackson and Maggie Cheung star.

A couple of months ago I heard rumors the movie may premiere at Cannes in May, so let's hope Tarantino will have it ready by then.
