Jonathan Demme's latest drama "Rachel Getting Married" premiered at the 65th edition of the Venice Film Festival, and first reactions were quite positive. Starring Anne Hathaway, the film centers on a former drug addict who returns home to attend her sister’s wedding and confront her family over past conflicts.
• "The screenplay, by Jenny Lumet, is smart, spiky and observant," writes Wendy Ide at Times Online.
• "Demme lets reality happen in front of the cameras without trying to manipulate it too much," writes Emanuel Levy.
