Franck Tabouring Actress Ashley Judd has signed on to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in Michael Lembeck’s upcoming comedy “Tooth Fairy,” according to Variety.
Not much is known about the film’s plot at this stage, but Johnson slips into the role of a minor league hockey player nicknamed Tooth Fairy. Judd stars as his girlfriend, a single mother of two.
Lembeck, whose credits include “The Santa Clause 2” and “Connie and Carla,” is directing a script by Lowell Ganz, Babaloo Mandel, Joshua Sternin and Jeffrey Ventimilia.
Judd most recently starred in William Friedkin’s “Bug.” She will next be seen alongside Harrison Ford, Sean Penn and Ray Liotta in Wayne Kramer’s “Crossing Over.”
As for former wrestling star Johnson, he was last seen in “Get Smart.” He has several projects in development, including “Planet 51” and “Race to Witch Mountain.”
I don’t care what Johnson does on the big screen, as long as it doesn’t involve a little girl or doesn’t have “Game” or “Plan” in the title. But as for Judd, it’s good to see her getting back into something more mainstream.
