Don LaFontaine, 1940 - 2008

Don LaFontaine, the voice-over specialist who made “In a world…” a famous phrase in movie trailers, died Monday in a Los Angeles medical center. He was 68.

According to ETOnline, LaFontaine died from complications from pneumothorax. His work could be heard in thousands of trailers and commercials - most recently in a television ad for Geico insurance.
