"Harold & Kumar" creators Hayden Schlossberg and Jon Hurwitz are set to write and direct "'Til Beth Do Us Part" for Warner Bros., according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Specific plot details are unknown at this stage, but the main story line focuses on two young males who see their friendship tested when one of them gets engaged.

Says the trade: the movie will share some elements with the stoner franchise for which the writer-directors are known -- most notably, the comedic bond between two young males -- but will be more grounded and contain fewer of its zany flourishes.

Schlossberg and Hurwitz are known for writing "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" and writing and directing "Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay."

I know it's still early and we don't much about this project, but I have to admit this premise does not win me over at all. I still hope Schlossberg and Hurwitz come up with something funnier than "Harold & Kumar," but at this stage, I really doubt it. We'll see.
