Shane Black to helm ‘Cold Warrior’

He hasn’t done much since his hilarious 2005 crime comedy “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,” but Shane Black is ready to return behind the camera for Universal, according to Variety.

Black is set to direct “Cold Warrior,” about a spy who leaves retirement and teams up with a young agent to investigate a terrorism threat orchestrated by Russia. Chuck Mondry wrote the script.

Besides writing and directing “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,” Black is known for penning “Lethal Weapon,” “Monster Squad” and “Last Action Hero.”
