Shawn Levy is producing and may direct 20th Century Fox’s upcoming comedy “Neighborhood Watch,” according to Variety.

Jared Stern will write the script, which centers on a city guy’s big move to suburbia. Soon after he joins the neighborhood watch, he uncovers a major conspiracy.

Levy is producing the flick through his 21 Laps, which is also developing “Date Night” with Steve Carell and Tina Fey, and “Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian.”

Levy’s directing credits include “Big Fat Liar,” “Cheaper by the Dozen” and the unforgivably disastrous “The Pink Panther.” He also helmed the first “Night at the Museum.”
