Knightley, Mendes to star in 'Last Night'

Keira Knightley, Eva Mendes, Sam Worthington and Guillaume Canet have signed on to join Massy Tadjedin’s upcoming romance “Last Night,” according to Variety.

The film focuses on a couple’s surprising experiences while spending a night apart. While the husband shares a flirt with a colleague on a business trip, his wife accidentally runs into her past love.

Tadjedin also wrote the script for the project, which will head into production in New York next month. Tadjedin’s other screenwriting credits include “The Jacket” and upcoming drama “Wednesday.”

Knightley can next be seen in “The Duchess,” which hits select theaters tomorrow. Mendes is currently onscreen in Diane English’s “The Women.” She will next star in Frank Miller’s “The Spirit.”

Worthington will star opposite Christian Bale in McG’s “Terminator Salvation,” while French actor Canet can currently be seen in “Tell No   One,” which he also wrote and directed.
