Yes, the Man of Steel will return to the big screen once again. In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Warner Bros. Pictures Group President Jeff Robinov said the studio will reboot the “Superman” franchise in the coming years.
Commenting on the disappointing box-office run of 2006’s “Superman Returns,” Robinov said, “It didn't position the character the way he needed to be positioned.”
But Warner is not giving up on the visitor from Krypton. "But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all,” Robinov told the Journal.
That’s about all he had to say about a new “Superman” flick. Robinov did add however that they will have Clark Kent explore a darker side, much like Bruce Wayne did in this summer’s blockbuster “The Dark Knight.”
Robinov also chatted a bit about other future Warner projects. Click right here to read all about it.
