Watch the funny trailer for 'An American Carol'

Franck Tabouring Who ever thought we would one day see a film that ridicules Michael Moore? Well, it's happening folks. From David Zucker, director of "Scary Movie 3" and producer of "Superhero Movie," comes "An American Carol," a comedy about an American filmmaker (known as Michael Malone) who's visited by three ghosts after he attempts to abolish the July 4 holiday.
The cast of the flick includes Kevin P. Farley, Kelsey Grammer, Trace Adkins, Leslie Nielsen, Chriss Anglin, Dennis Hopper, James Woods and Jon Voight. The first trailer for the film poppe up over at Yahoo! earlier today, and I have to admit I like what I've seen so far. The footage above is silly, sure, but it's also funny. "An Americal Carol" opens Oct. 3, 2008.

The trailer is terrific. But how can you promote this and not include the fact that David Zucker was responsible for one of the funniest comedies in the last 30 years, namely, "Airplane!"
The trailer is meant to just hit the basic, slapstick humor and doesn’t expose much of the satire in the plot of the film - and yes, the film has a plot. (Not so subtly copied from Dickens, by the way.)
I’ve been following many of the comments all over the web and find it hilarious that the left is so offended. One comment asked if “librul commies” were ever slave owners and why this movie portrayed them as such. The answer is, yes, “libruls” were slave owners in the American past, just as conservatives were. And some would argue that “commies” are slave owners — or at least slave users — by definition.
For those of you so offended that you wish to leave the country on Opening Day (October 3rd), I encourage you to do so. And, please consider staying out of country until the movie’s run is complete, which probably will be sometime in mid-November.
Further protests by ignoring this year’s election would also be appreciated and respected!
It's a dream come true: watching Michael Moore get slapped!
Could they possibly go back and edit in Dizzy Lohan and Matt Dumon and Boob Anderson before it's realease. Can't believe I cheered someone slapping M. Moore. They should put these four and Bab Streisand in a small padded room together.
If I live to be a 100, I'll never understand why movie people and singers think a Political Science degree is given to them at birth.........
The guy who did "airplane" skewers the left? I am so there.
It's about time! I'm so sick of anti-American films. I will pay to see this movie at a theater and not just rent the DVD later. It's nice to have a movie to support rather than all the hollywood freaks who would prefer to give America away on a silver platter (i.e., pacifists, hippies and others waiting to be steamrolled by terrorist radicals). If you want to be an ostrich with your head in the sand you had better lubricate your anus because those bastards are plotting to stick it to you.
Finally!!! I am SO TIRED of the left wing running the entertainment industry making fun of the other side (the right) at all the Hollywood Awards shows and the entertainment industry as a whole. I am so sick of people that think Michael Moore writes documentaries, and if it is on the big screen, it must be real!! It is great to see a comedy that has more truth in the humor than Michael Moore professes to be the gospel truth in his liberal films. This film shows great respect for our military and shows, that no matter what one's political aspirations and free speech tendencies, our military is protecting our rights with their lives for me to have the ability to do just what I am doing right now!. Great job Zucker...I loved all your previous movies also. My Grandfather always told me that "Humor is signs of intelligence."
