Friends and fans of late comedian Bernie Mac bid their farewells to the star Saturday in Chicago, CNN reported earlier today.

Apparently, more than 6,000 people gathered on the city’s South Side to pay tribute to the actor, who passed away August 9 at the age of 50.

Cedric the Entertainer and Samuel L. Jackson were just two of several celebrities to attend the service.
