Now that Warner Bros. has pushed back the release of David Yates’ “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” to July 2009, Summit Entertainment is seizing the opportunity by moving up the release of the anticipated vampire romance “Twilight.”
That’s right Twilighters, you will now be able to catch the first adventure of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) Nov. 21, 2008. The big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s first novel of the saga was originally scheduled to open Dec. 12, 2008.
In the film, a teenage girl risks everything when she falls for a vampire. Catherine Hardwicke directs a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg. Taylor Lautner, Billy Burke and Nikki Reed co-star.
In related news (via Variety), Walt Disney also pushed up the release of its computer-animated adventure “Bolt.” Originally scheduled to hit theaters Nov. 26, the flick will now open Nov. 21 as well.
This must be awesome news, right?
