It’s official: the world needs “The Dark Knight.” And it needs him fast. While fans are running around like crazy these days to get tickets for an early screening (I’m so glad I bought mine last week), the marketing team behind Christopher Nolan’s anticipated Batman flick is trying everything to spread the word even more.

New York’s popular blog The Gothamist posted an awesome image of a giant bat signal that was projected onto the Woolworth Building last night. You can see part of the image above and check out the full photograph right here. It’s not exactly the bat signal we are used to see in the sky, but I think it’s a pretty cool treat for everybody walking the streets of Manhattan right now.

Be sure to check back with us next week, because we’re going to cover Batman’s opening day live from Manhattan with pics from the madness of early screenings and plenty of audience reactions!!!
