If you saw “Hancock” already you’ve probably seen the first teaser for Scott Derrickson’s upcoming sci-fi thriller “The Day the Earth Stood Still,” which stars Keanu Reeves as an alien whose arrival on Earth creates quite an upheaval. You can check it out below.

The trailer doesn’t reveal that much about the plot, but the special effects look pretty gorgeous. As for Keanu Reeves, I guess he found yet another perfect role for his static facial expressions. But hey, the man’s really good at that! “The Day the Earth Stood Still” is a remake of Robert Wise’s 1951 flick of the same title and will open nationwide Dec. 12, 2008.
