Short takes: ‘RoboCop’ to be rated R
• According to MTV News, producer Mike Medavoy said the upcoming big-screen version of “RoboCop” will likely be rated R. Darren Aronofsky will direct the flick, which is scheduled for release in 2010.
• Variety reported Tuesday that Universal is in negotiations to produce Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming WWII drama “Inglorious Bastards.” The film is scheduled to head into production this fall in Europe.
• Alicia Keys will team up with Jack White (from The White Stripes) to record the theme song for Marc Forster’s upcoming James Bond adventure “Quantum of Solace.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, the song is called “Another Way to Die.”
• Although none of this is confirmed yet, Wes Craven may be interested to return for the fourth “Scream” film, according to a recent interview with MTV News. Craven said he would consider being a part of the film as long as the studios respected his terms.

Darren Aronofsky directing the new Robocop? Didn't see that coming, but it may force me to go see it.
Also, I'm ashamed to say I would gladly look forward to yet another Scream.
