Is the ‘Friends’ movie really happening?

Now that the big-screen adaptation of “Sex and the City” has proven to be a box office hit, it’s time for other TV series to make the jump to the feature film format. Although none (!) of this is confirmed, the Daily Mail reports “Friends” may be the next show to hit the big screen. Apparently, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer are eager to reprise their roles from the successful TV series.
The Daily Mail article quotes a source as saying “'Timing and the script are really important, but now that Courteney and Jen both have production companies, they can potentially get very involved in those decisions.”
I have to admit I never was a huge fan of the show, but with the right script, this big-screen version could have some potential. If it does ever happen, box office success is guaranteed.
Again, nobody knows at this stage whether this is just a silly rumor, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more. Stay tuned.
By the way, do you think the cast of “Friends” should reunite for another round? What other TV series do you think have the potential to hit the big screen?

I so hope they do make a movie, because Friends is my fav TV show and I would go to it like 4 times before it was out of theaters. Then I would buy the collector's edition when it came out on DVD. :)
I also think they should make a Gilmore Girls movie, because it is my 2nd fav TV show.

I really hope a Friends movie is created. I also hope that all of the Friends children are cast in a "Children of Friends" TV series.
they should do another 10 years of friends series rather than just a movie..b'coz we wud love to see them for a more longer time than just for two hours
