Anne Fletcher returns to dancing with ‘Matadors’

matadorsdisney.jpgAnne Fletcher is in talks to direct Walt Disney’s upcoming dance comedy “Matadors” for producer Adam Shankman, according to Variety.

Based on the true story of the Chicago Bulls’ group of male cheerleaders, the film is described as “a comedic take on what happens when a pair of the ultimate basketball fans form a cheerleading squad.”

Choreographer-turned-director Fletcher previously collaborated with Shankman on “Step Up.” Her directing credits also include “27 Dresses” and Disney’s upcoming “The Proposal,” a romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds.
