Milla Jovovich’s “Resident Evil” character Alice may not be done chasing zombies quite yet. In a recent interview with
MTV News, writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson said he certainly wouldn’t be against making a fourth film.
Anderson said the project is only in early developmental stages, and he hasn’t come up with a concrete story yet. Here’s part of what he told MTV:
“I love the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise and we always try to make the best possible movie we can. If we could find a good ‘Resident Evil 4’ to make, then we would do it.”
I liked the first film, hated the second and pretty much enjoyed the third one, but I’m not sure another sequel is such a good idea. Then again, “Resident Evil: Extinction” left us with an open ending, suggesting Alice will next head to Umbrella’s headquarters in Japan.
What do you guys think? Should Anderson shoot for a fourth installment? And if he ends up developing a script, should he return to direct?
