Actress Diane Kruger has signed on to star as the female lead character in Baltasar Kormakur’s upcoming thriller “Run For Her Life” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film centers on two parents who travel to Mexico to get a lung transplant for their dying daughter. What they didn’t know before agreeing to the operation is that the organs are forcefully taken from other people.
Kruger stars alongside Dermont Mulroney, the guy you may know from the awful “The Wedding Date” and the boring “Must Love Dogs.”
Kruger is known best for her role as Abigail Chase in the two “National Treasure” flicks. She also starred in “Troy” and “Wicker Park.”
Because she is fluent in English, German and French, Kruger also starred in several European films, including Christian Carion’s magical “Joyeux Noel” and Cedric Klapisch’s thriller “Ni pour, ni contre.”
I have to admit I like her way better in the French films she has done. Her appearance in “Troy” was incredibly gruesome, and she didn’t really manage to win me over on her other Hollywood productions.
Now that she’s snatched a lead, maybe she’ll put more effort into her acting. At least she doesn’t have to worry about the looks.
