Just in case you were wondering, Lindsay Lohan is still in the acting business. After battling personal troubles and being featured all over the tabloids for months, she’s now finally returning to the big screen. According to Variety, the “Mean Girls” actress has signed on to star alongside Chris Parnell, Cheryl Hines and Luke Kirby in Lara Shapiro’s directorial debut “Labor Pains.”
Lohan will be playing an assistant at a publishing house who pretends to be pregnant so her boss won’t fire her. Apparently she’s trying to make the lie work for nine months.
Lohan was last seen in “I Know Who Killed Me” and recently appeared in an episode of TV’s “Ugly Betty.” She’s also gearing up for “Ye Olde Times,” in which she stars opposite Jack Black and Matthew Lillard.
Considering Lohan’s recent filmography, I am not so sure I can really get excited about this flick. I really loved the way things were going for her back when she starred in “Mean Girls,” but then all of a sudden it all went downhill. Blame it on “Herbie: Fully Loaded.”
