Our quick thoughts: This is one of only a few films I am really looking forward to this summer. Ever since I first saw the teaser trailer for Timur Bekmambetov’s upcoming action spectacle “Wanted,” I couldn’t help but wonder how much fun this flick is going to be.

Now the new, full trailer has hit the Web, and much like its predecessors, it promises fast-paced action, implausible but astonishing stunts and a nearly naked Angelina Jolie. Anything else we need? Based on a comic book series, the film centers on a young slacker recruited by a fraternity of assassins to avenge his father’s death and eliminate a bunch bad guys.  

The film is directed by Timur Bekmambetov, the man behind the excellent Russian action hit “Night Watch” and its sequel “Day Watch.” It’s pretty easy to recognize his style in this trailer right off the bat, and I can guarantee you, the man knows how to direct vibrant car chases and wild shoot-outs.

“Wanted” stars James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, Common and Thomas Kretschmann. It opens nationwide June 27, 2008.
