Marcia Cross joins indie comedy ‘Peck’

marciacrosspeck.jpgActress Marcia Cross, who’s been playing Bree Van De Kamp on TV’s “Desperate Housewives” for the past four years, will appear in Michael Nickles’ upcoming indie comedy “Peck,” according to Variety.

Although we don’t have that many details about the plot, the film centers on a high school kid who’s struggling with his parents’ incredible strictness and develops an unlikely friendship with the school’s most popular girl.

Keir Gilchrist, Adam Arkin and Brie Larson co-star. Cross jumps into the role of the high schooler’s mother.

Nickles is directing a script by Marc Arneson. Filming is already under way and should wrap this or next week.

Playing a strict mother is nothing new for Marcia Cross, and I’m she can pull this off without major difficulties. Let’s just hope she doesn’t have to play yet another desperate housewife.
