Comingsoon.net got a chance to sit down and talk to John Stevenson, co-director of DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming animated adventure “Kung Fu Panda,” which opens in theaters this week.

Stevenson has been working in DreamWorks Animation’s art department for quite a few years, and now he’s finally got a shot at co-directing his own flick. In the informative interview, he talks about how challenging it is to make an animated feature, where the inspiration came from and how they created the many kung fu scenes in the film.

“Kung Fu Panda” premiered at Cannes a couple of weeks ago and features the voices of Jack Black, Angelina Jolie and Dustin Hoffman.
