Peter Segal’s action comedy “Get Smart” opens tomorrow, and
Entertainment Weekly briefly talked to the cast and crew at the film’s Los Angeles premiere last Monday. Topics of discussion included movie premieres and the possibility of a sequel, and here’s a little excerpt from what lead actor
Steve Carell had to say about being offered his role:
“'I was so surprised when I was just given this part. I went into the room expecting to have to audition for the role. I took a headshot, even. And when they said I was who they had in mind for Max, my head exploded. I had never just been offered a part without auditioning.”
