Universal announced it will release Sacha Baron Cohen’s upcoming comedy “Bruno” on May 15, 2009, according to Variety.
Much like “Borat,” the film follows one of Cohen’s eccentric characters on his quest to trick people into believing he’s real.
Created on Cohen’s popular TV show “Da Ali G Show,” Bruno is an Austrian fashionista and celebrity journalist who comes to America to interview famous people.
If you had an awesome time watching “Borat,” chances are you will enjoy this one just as much. After winning critical acclaim, “Borat” ended up pulling in $128.5 million domestically.
Competition will be tough for “Bruno,” as it will have to go against Ron Howard’s “Angels & Demons.”
If you’ve never heard of Bruno before, check out the clip below (it's hilarious by the way). That’s pretty much what you’ll see in the flick as well.
