Rob Cohen updates ‘The Dragon Emperor’ blog

mummyblogupdate.jpgRob Cohen just updated the production blog for his upcoming sequel “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor,” which opens Aug. 1, 2008.

Apparently, he’s pretty busy with dubbing and visual effects these days, but he promises people a full trailer attached to “Wanted,” which hits theaters June 27, 2008. The entry also includes a few pics from the studios and an international poster.

Here’s part of what he has to say about the post-production on his blog:
“Dubbing is a fascinating process, a meticulous process by which the sound effects (tens of thousands of them), the music, and the dialog are balanced together to create the sound tapestry of the movie. If it's done well, the mix will deliver the excitement of the effects, clarity to the dialog, and the cohesion of the music--but all these elements have to share a common space in your local theater, even in 5.1 and that's the trick, to choreograph the three elements for maximum effect.”
You can read all of it right here.
