Actor Kevin Spacey has signed on to star as the lead character in Jonas Pate’s upcoming drama “Shrink,” according to Variety. The film, which is already in production, centers on a shrink whose clients are primarily Hollywood stars. Also on board of the project are Keke Palmer, Gore Vidal, Mark Webber and Robin Williams.
Additionally, the shrink is going through a harsh phase himself as he spends most of his time smoking pot and not caring about his looks. And when it couldn’t get any worse, he decides he’s lost his ability to helo his clients.
Spacey was last seen on the big screen in Robert Luketic’s crime drama “21.” He also appeared in TV’s movie event “Recount.”
Spacey as a pot-smoking shrink? Sounds a bit like Ben Kingsley’s character in the upcoming comedy “The Wackness.” I kind of can see Spacey master this type of role, although Downey Jr. would probably have been a great choice too.
What do you think” Who would you have like to see in this role?
