I’m off to see Louis Leterrier’s new version of “The Incredible Hulk” in just a couple of hours and will post my review later this afternoon, but in the meantime, here’s what the blogosphere has to say about the film.
This is a new entry we’ll be posting weekly now. Why browse every site for the reviews when you can access most of them right here in this short recap? Let’s get started then.
• Joblo’s JimmyO saw the film and gives it an impressive 8.5 out of 10. Apparently, the “Hulk” reboot totally lived up to his expectations, and he even liked the CGI. Here’s part of what Joblo has to say about the all-new green beast:
“While not necessarily a piece of artistic beauty (is it really supposed to be) this is an adrenaline filled rollercoaster ride of a movie that manages to have a very touching human element thanks to a some on target performances from all involved.”Read Joblo’s entire review right here.
“There’s not much in it you haven’t seen before. Cars are thrown and streets are smashed. The CGI is adequate yet obvious, and really no better than what we saw five years ago in Ang Lee’s movie.”Read Josh’s entire review right here.
“Whereas Lee's Hulk was a fairly brooding and angst-y affair, Leterrier's take focuses more on action, tension, and a surprising amount of wit. Of course you'll get a fair dose of the excellent Edward Norton as he struggles with his inner demon, and there's a surprisingly effective love story that keeps the drama moving forward…”Read Cinematical’s entire review right here.
“Norton's Bruce Banner is quite easy to identify with and though it takes a while for them to unite, his performance is enhanced by his interaction with Tyler, who proved in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy that she's more than just a pretty face. Having a giant green monster as a boyfriend invites humor and thankfully it's addressed head on.”You can read LatinoReview’s entire critique right here.
