Our quick thoughts: Yahoo! Movies today posted the first teaser trailer for Alexandre Aja’s upcoming horror flick “Mirrors,” which stars Kiefer Sutherland as a department store security guard who investigates some mysterious deaths that happen in front of the store’s mirrors.

The film is obviously a remake, and the first teaser clearly fails to deliver the goods. I know the limited footage here is not enough to judge an entire film, but it’s enough to realize that we’ve seen all this way too many times already.

And could somebody please tell my what the heck Kiefer Sutherland is doing in this film? I really enjoy watching him kicking butt on TV’s “24,” but his big-screen efforts so far didn’t exactly succeed.

If you loved the recent remake of “The Eye,” chances are you’ll enjoy “Mirrors.” I for one am getting a little sick of watching the same weak stuff over and over again. What do you think?
