Hugh Hefner wants Downey Jr. in ‘Playboy’

hughhefner.jpgDo you like the idea of Robert Downey Jr. portraying Hugh Hefner in the biopic “Playboy”? I certainly do. In fact, I can hardly imagine anybody else suited better for the role of the famous U.S. publisher.

Although Downey Jr. is still in negotiations to star in Brett Ratner’s film about the Playboy Enterprises creator, Hefner would definitely like to see the “Iron Man” actor take on the role.

Here’s an excerpt from a recent interview with Hef at ComingSoon:
“It has nothing to do with 'Iron Man.' Our conversations with Robert were in the months immediately before 'Iron Man.' He called immediately after 'Iron Man' and asked 'When we were going to do the movie?’"
So will Robert Downey Jr. play Hef? I certainly do hope so. Can Ratner actually pull this off in the director’s chair? That’s what I’m worried about. He made some entertaining action flicks so far, but a biopic about a guy who likes to have naked girls hanging at his place is a whole different league.
