Actors Seth Rogen and Jay Baruchel are set to star in “Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse,” an action comedy based on a short film by Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Variety reports Rogen and Goldberg will write the script for the film, which follows two friends through the aftermath of the apocalypse.

Rogen and Goldberg also penned the screenplays for Greg Mottola’s “Superbad” and David Gordon Green’s upcoming stoner comedy “Pinapple Express.”

Rogen has recently wrapped filming for Kevin Smith’s comedy “Zack and Miri Make Porno.” He’s currently filming “Observe and Report.”

Baruchel, who briefly appeared in “Knocked Up,” will next be seen in Ben Stiller’s action flick “Tropic Thunder.”
