IGN posted a three-minute clip from the Wachowski’s family flick “Speed Racer,” which opens nationwide this Friday. As you can see in the clip below, most of the footage revolves around racing, which I guess is also pretty much everything we’ll get to see during the film’s 129-minute running time.

Anyway, the footage is close to what we’ve been teased with in the several trailers and film clips, promising more eye candy we can possibly handle. Other than that, these three minutes don’t reveal anything else about the plot. The clip definitely suggests seeing the film in IMAX, considering the film’s colorful, goofy look and the solid dose of extravagant stunts and races.

Pay attention to the music. At times, it sounds like something straight out of a Looney Tunes cartoon. "Speed Racer" stars Emile Hirsh, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, Matthew Fox and John Goodman. The film opens May 9, 2008. Click HERE to watch the clip or enjoy it below.
