Trailer Review: “Burn After Reading”

burnafterreadingtrailer.jpg

Our quick thoughts: Apple today released the first trailer for Joel and Ethan Coen’s upcoming comedy “Burn After Reading,” and I got to tell you, this is quickly turning into my most anticipated movie of the fall. If you usually enjoy the Coens’ special humor and their delicious oddity, you’ll likely fall over watching this hilarious red band preview.

Essentially, the film follows two gym teachers who accidentally stumble across and then try to sell a disc containing the memoirs of a CIA agent. As usual with the Coens, they’ve assembled an A-list cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tilda Swinton, Francis McDormand and John Malkovich.

“Burn After Reading” will open this year’s Venice Film Festival and is scheduled for a release in the U.S. Sept. 26, 2008. Head over to Apple to see this glorious trailer in high quality or watch a slightly crappier version just below. Seriously, it looks fantastic.
