David Gordon Green to direct ‘Your Highness’

davidgordongreennews.jpgDirector David Gordon Green is set to direct the Scott Stuber-produced Universal Pictures comedy “Your Highness,” according to Variety.

In the film, Danny McBride stars as an arrogant prince who must show great courage and fulfill a perilous quest to secure the future of his dad’s kingdom.

McBride and Ben Best compiled the screenplay. Green’s directing credits include 2003’s “All the Real Girls” and the recent “Snow Angels.” His first big film, the Judd Apatow-produced “Pineapple Express,” will hit theaters Aug. 8, 2008.

As for McBride, he is currently onscreen in Jody Hill’s “The Foot Fist Way,” a comedy about a karate instructor’s martial troubles. He will also star in Green’s “Pineapple Express” and make an appearance in Ben Stiller’s action comedy “Tropic Thunder.”
