Rainn Wilson goes ‘Transformers 2’

rainnwilsonnews3.jpgThe Office” star Rainn Wilson has scored a cameo in Paramount’s upcoming Michael Bay sequel “Transformers 2,” according to MTV News.

Not much is known about the film’s plot or his role, but Wilson said he’d be playing some sort of professor. Whatever that means.

Wilson’s cameo also indicates Bay may be aiming for a more comedic touch in the sequel to the successful “Transformers.” I openly admit I already laughed a few times during the first film.

Known best for his hilarious role as Dwight Schrute on TV’s “The Office,” Wilson also appeared in several big-screen features, including “The Last Mimzy” and “Juno.”

He will next be seen in the lead role in Peter Cattaneo’s comedy “The Rocker,” in which he plays a failed musician who gets a second shot at fame when his nephew asks him to play the drums in a high school band.
