• According to Joblo.com, Quentin Tarantino’s next film will be his World War II action adventure “Inglorious Bastards,” which he hopes to present at the 62nd edition of the Cannes Film Festival in 2009.• Besides its domestic opening weekend of $125 million, “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull” also scored big time overseas, collecting $146.5 million from 56 territories. Including Monday’s revenues, the film lifted its worldwide total to $311 million. Not bad! (Variety)
• “Kitchen Confidential” star Bonnie Somerville is coming to the big screen… twice. The Hollywood Reporter says the TV actress has signed on to star alongside Katherine Heigl in Robert Luketic’s “The Ugly Truth.” Somerville is also set to star in Rob Perez’s indie comedy “Nobody.”
• Lindsay Sloane is set to take on a lead role in “A Good Old Fashioned Orgy,” a comedy about a 30-year-old man who decides to throw an orgy before his parents sell their family vacation home. She will play a religious high school teacher who first refuses but then ends up going to the orgy. (The Hollywood Reporter)
