9th Golden Trailer Awards

goldentrailerawards09.jpgThe Dark Knight” won the award for best trailer of the year with a 44 percent margin of victory at the 9th Golden Trailer Awards.

Christopher Nolan’s upcoming action adventure also took home the prize for best action trailer, beating “Iron Man,” “Hellboy II” and “Live Free or Die Hard.”

Ben Stiller’s upcoming action comedy “Tropic Thunder” was named best comedy trailer. Disney’s “Enchanted” took top honors in the best animation/family category.   

“No Country For Old Men” took home best drama, “I Am Legend” won best horror, and “Atonement” was named best romance.

Hosted by USA Today, the Golden Trailer Awards honor the best movie trailers in several categories. The competition also recognizes foreign films, TV spots, game trailers and movie posters.

The award for best foreign drama trailer went to “And When Did You Last See Your Father?” Guy Ritchie’s “Revolver” snatched the best trailer award in the foreign action category.
