Boll directs films about jail rape, genocide

uwebollfingerlein.jpgCritics hate him and nobody ever sees his movies, but German director Uwe Boll somehow manages to keep going. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Boll is currently working on two films: one about a prison rape, and another about genocide in Sudan.

“Stoic” is based on the true story of three German prisoners who raped and tortured a cellmate before helping him hang himself. According to Boll, the film will be a tough one to swallow, showing one of the characters being forced to eat his own vomit. How far does he have to go to lure people into theaters?

The second film, entitled “Janjaweed,” focuses on a militia group accused of genocide in Sudan. Boll said both films feature a solid dose of improvised dialogue.

No matter how much his flicks crash and burn at the box office, Boll always finds the financial backings to keep shooting movies. His latest flick “Postal,” a political satire, was originally expected to hit 1,500 theaters in North America but ended up being released in only four.

A couple of weeks ago, following a heavy increase in signatures on a petition calling for the notorious director to stop making movies, Boll also called for a pro-Boll online petition. Details about that can be found HERE.

No matter how horrible his films are, I always find Boll’s commentaries ridiculously amusing. I am thinking about writing an editorial about his recent escapades, so make sure to keep an eye out for that anytime soon.
