Actor Richard Dreyfuss is in final negotiations to star in Oliver Stone’s upcoming George W. Bush biopic “W,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Dreyfuss is the final actor to be cast as one of the lead characters. He will jump into the role of Vice President Dick Cheney. Josh Brolin plays President Bush, with Elizabeth Banks starring as Laura Bush and Thandie Newton playing Condoleezza Rice.

“W” chronicles the life and presidency of George W. Bush. Stone plans to have the film ready for an October release, shortly before the presidential election in November.

Dreyfuss’ acting credits include “Jaws” and “The American President.” He also appeared in Wolfgang Petersen’s 2006 remake of “Poseidon.”
