Scott to helm “Kind One”
Variety today reported Ridley Scott has signed on to direct “Kind One” for Warner Bros. The film is based on a novel by Tom Epperson, who will also compile the script.
A film noir set in the 1930s, “Kind One” focuses on an amnesiac who finds out he’s actually working for a crook. Casey Affleck is in early negotiations to star in the lead role.
Scott last directed “American Gangster.” His next film, “Body of Lies,” is due in theaters Oct. 10, 2008. Affleck recently starred in Ben Affleck’s directorial debut “Gone Baby Gone.”
Jovovich goes to Alaska for next film
Milla Jovovich is set to star in Gold Circle Films’ “The 4th Kind,” a thriller written and directed by newcomer Olatunde Osunsanmi, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Details about the plot have not been released, but Jovovich will play a woman inquiring into several unexplained disappearances in an Alaskan town.
She was last seen in “Resident Evil: Extinction” and is currently filming “A Perfect Getaway” for David Twohy.
