David R. Ellis to direct 'Six Days Till Midnight'

Stuntman-turned-director David R. Ellis is set to direct "Six Days Till Midnight," a thriller written by Mark Bacci, according to Variety.

The film focuses on a rich businessman who's told he has six days to answer a particular question. For each day he doesn't answer it, someone he loves will be murdered.

Ellis told Variety this is the best script he's workd with so far. He described it as a "thriller with a great twist."

The trade says the project is budgeted at $25 million and is scheduled to start production in April. Ellis' directorial credits include "Final Destination 2," "Cellular" and "Snakes on a Plane."

He's also currently wrapping post-production on "Final Destination 4," which New Line Cinema will release in 3D Aug. 21, 2009.
