Brand-new 'Legend of Chun-Li' images hit

Apart from "Dragonball," there is one other upcoming film I absolutely don't care about at this point: Andrzej Bartkowiak's "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li."

Of course, the film is based on the popualr video game series, and the plot follows female fighter Chun-Li's quest for justice. Kristin Kreuk, Michael Clarke Duncan, Taboo and Moon Bloodgood star.

The folks over at ComingSoon recently got their hands on some new stills from the movie. You can check one of them above and some more after the jump. For better resolution and more pics, click here.

I'm interested in reading your thoughts on this flick. Do you think it's a good idea to bring back "Street Fighter"? Couldn't you care less, or are you excited? Sound off below, and watch for "Chun-Li" in theaters Feb. 27, 2009.

I think its a great idea to bring back SF as long as its done with care. Despite all the negativity towards the project, ( Which as this point has been enough to ensure an opening weekend flop) I've been keeping up on the script's intentions. And it sounds awesome. I secretly hope this movie kicks all kinds of @$$ to show theater goers two things: female driven movie leads can work if handled properly, and two video game adaptations can work if handled properly. But this is banking on what Justin Marks, the screenwriter , has said so far. The director could turn an awesome script into garbage. But unlike those who are condemning the flick without having actually seen it, I'm going to wait, and hope for the best, not the worst.
