The folks at MSN today premiered the brand-new trailer for DreamWorks Animation's upcoming animated adventure "Monsters vs. Aliens."

This new preview differs quite from the previous one because it lets viewers in on more story line. And I gotta say, it looks a lot more interesting to me now as well.

Here's what the story is about: when an alien race threatens to destroy Earth, the government seeks help from a bunch of goofy monsters.

The voice cast for this one looks pretty impressive: Seth Rogen, Will Arnett, Paul Rudd, Hugh Laurie, Reese Witherspoon and Kiefer Sutherland are all on board.

"Monsters vs. Aliens" is directed by Rob Letterman and Conrad Vernon, and it will invade theaters in 3D March 27, 2009. Enjoy the new trailer after the jump.
