Clive Owen is in talks to star in "Cartagena," a Colombian drug tale developed by 2929 Prods.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Michael Ross, whose credits include "Turistas," is attached to write the script.

"Cartagena" follows an undercover agent who finds himself in the middle of a risky plot and whose only chance for survival is to elude drug lords and other international agents.

Owen, who most recently starred in "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" and "Shoot 'Em Up," will next star in "The International."

He'll also soon be seen in Tony Gilroy's "Duplicity" with Juila Roberts.
