Here's your dose of quick news bits for Dec. 20, 2008...
• Michael Bay's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is still in post-production and won't open until June 26, 2009, but rumors about "Transformers 3" are already all over the Web. The latest one is that a release for a third installment is set for June 29th, 2011. (Dark Horizons)
• Stephen Chow, director of "Kung Fu Hustle," is no longer directing (because of creative differences) "The Green Hornet," an adaptation written by Seth Rogen and Even Golberg. Chow, however, will star in the film in the role of Kato. Rogen is on board to play the crimefighter. (Variety)
• Christopher McQuarrie, screenwriter of "Valkyrie," is gearing up to write three more flicks Tom Cruise may end up starring in: "Flying Tigers," "The Champions" and "The Tourist." McQuarrie is rewriting that last one; it's a remake of French thriller "Anthony Zimmer." (Variety)
• Hossein Amini is gearing up to write a new Jack Ryan movie for Paramount. The last time the character appear on the big screen was in "The Sum of All Fears" in 2002. This new film is apparently not derived from Tom Clancy's novels. (THR)
