'The Crow' reboot in the works!

Are you ready for a new take on "The Crow"?

Like it or not, Stephen Norrington will write and direct the big-screen reimagining of the comic created by James O'Barr.

Norrington told Variety the reboot will be "realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style."

The first time "The Crow" made it to the screen was in 1994's adaptation by Alex Proyas. Brandon Lee starred as Eric Draven, a man returning from the dead to avenge his and his girlfriend's murders.

The film grossed almost $100 million worldwide, although people tend to remember it for a tragic accident that killed Lee during the shoot.

Norrington also directed "Blade" and "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen." "The Crow" marks his first film in more than five years.
