Randy Couture checks in with 'Expendables'

Sylvester Stallone is currently extending the cast for his upcoming action flick "The Expendables," which already stars Jason Statham, Jet Li and Sly himself.

According to AICN, the latest to join the pack is UFC fighter Randy Couture. Also starring is Forest Whitaker.

In the film, a group of mercenaries infiltrate a South American country to overthrow its dictator and free the population.

Yes, it sounds very much like the recent "Rambo," so if you like that kind of bloody, brainless action, watch out for this one.

Couture has had previous onscreen experience. He recently starred in "Redbelt" and the direct-to-video sequel "The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior."
