New 'Dragonball' trailer surfaces online

"Dragonball" fans rejoice! A brand-new trailer for James Wong's upcoming adapation of the popular video game popped up online, and you can check it out after the jump.

I don't have a passion for "Dragonball" at all, so I pretty much couldn't care less about this release. Somehow though, this trailer looks a little too goofy, loaded with bad special effects.

In the flick, Goku and co. fight against the forces of the deadly Saiyans. Goku's best chance to get through this alive are the DragonBalls, which allow him to call for a mighty dragon.

The balls drop April 8, 2009. Now I'm asking you, the fans, what do you think of this new trailer? Sound off below.

I am a supreme fan of all of Akira Toriyama's works, and there are definitely somethings that bother me in this trailer. Aside from the deviation of the original plot, Justin Chatwin(at least in this trailer) is not fitting the role of Goku well. The costume design for him and Piccolo should be improved. Piccolo is not a vampire, he is a green "Namekian", not white. I don't know how, but cosplayers get their hair to match Goku's, so i am pretty sure that a movie company can do the same. Other than that, the trailer is well done. The movie and characters themselves should be modified, but that is my opinion as a fan of the series. i don't know if you have to deviate from the plot because of copyright, but when I watch the trailer i think things like "Roshi could never fly?!!" Once again, this is my opinion and am not trying to condemn anyone. No matter what, I will be at the theaters on the release date and see it.

Been watching DB/DBZ my entire life, so I'm a major fan of it. so for the trailer, while I admit looks a little comical, i think it could work. Im guessing that they were going for to make it as a realistic version of the series, and if they actually pull it off then i will have no complaints. Either way, i will be at theaters to see it.

Can't believe there are those who (at least they say so) are going to the cinemas instead of boycotting like every sensible person even when they are sure it will totally suck
