Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott are teaming up in David Wain's "Role Models," a funny comedy in which the actors are forced to look after two lonely kids. I personally had a great time watching the flick, but what about other online critics? Let's find out how they feel about it:
• Cinematical's William Goss: "Sure, we get every bit the expected second-act conflict and third-act reconciliation, but at least when it comes to the emotional climax, both protagonists are adorned in '80s-rock attire and one can't help but strike the other in the groin."
• Robert Fure at FilmSchoolRejects: "All in all, 'Role Models' is a very funny film with lots of laugh out loud moments, which is rare for me."
• Josh Tyler at CinemaBlend: "McLovin runs away with the movie and exploring his nerddom pays huge dividends, so it’s easy to see why the film eventually abandons everything else in favor of focusing on it."
• LatinoReview's Ron Henriques: "There are moments midway through when the story feels as if its reached a dead spot, but the sincerity to be found within the gimmick of the medieval role-playing is continually pushed to the point where hilarity ensues."
• Joblo's JimmyO: "There is nothing terribly surprising here. But the script manages to keep you laughing and it even makes you care for each of these guys."
